Let’s be honest you could easily replace Record Company w/ VC for most VC funded startups.

Rex Sez: While funny, it’s the truth - this is what killed all the record companies and recording industry. The disruptor of course was my favorite startup of all time - Napster. Doing it in the gray all the way! 
John Stack says: Is the songwriter also the band member?  Ok, I agree with the intent of this graphic but I think it will change.  Why?  Labels will go away.  There are new sites coming out that let the band go direct to the consumer.  Promotion will come in the form of events and blogging and all (I think) will be well.  Just watch when Internet Radio stations pick up the pace by only playing new artists and having great sell through mechanisms that ignore traditional physical delivery mechanisms.
